Paper Wasp I

This Paper Wasp (Polistes Metricus) shares most of the features of the Northern Paper Wasp described in the previous gallery. Close relatives, they even sometimes shares hives. I am sure not intentionally, this individual was unusually cooperative with my efforts. While others flew further away at my slightest movement, I followed this wasp around while it showed me the ropes for about an hour showering me with so many opportunities that I have allocated it two galleries. The visitor who perseveres to gallery II will be rewarded by a wasp pole dance and pollen eating.
